Empire online's 500 Greatest Movies of All Time

Okay.

Lemme get this straight.

Rob Reiner is a greater filmmaker than either Victor Erice or Sam Peckinpah.

Peter Jackson is superior to both Andrei Tarkovsky and Orson Welles (who at most rates a #28 with his Citizen Kane), and

Raiders of the Lost Ark is the second greatest movie of all time?

Holy $#@!, Mother f>>>ing Jesus *&%#ing Christ, what the God-damned @$#&%*?+&???!!! were those ten thousand two hundred morons smoking when they cooked up this list? I want a hit too.

Sad list, but at least they tried. It seems like they, like everybody else, arbitrarily decided that the Criterion Collection is the criterion of good cinema, and sprinkled their list of mostly contemporary films with with old movies from Criterion's releases. It's definitely a list for fanboys and lazy filmgoers who always complain that movies from places other than US/UK/France/Italy are unavailable without trying.
