There she goes, singing, WHAT is that song she's been singing, and there's drama and tension (will she reject him?). But man, he's turning her on with his tapping, it's palpable how aroused she looks (and she's a penguin, for cryin' out loud). The camera is moving everywhere, at first slowly, then faster, and the cutting gets faster too, and you recognize that song, how could you have forgotten Boogie Wonderland? Miller was juggling several things here, the seduction, the drama (will she reject him?), the tease (what IS that song?), the desperation (DANCE! DANCE for your life and love!), the inspiration and finally, the redemption (awww, true love wins as always). It's what a filmmaker like Miller can do that distinguishes it from the Hacks that did Barnyard, Open Season, Valiant, etc, etc.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
